    3. After each guess, the tiles will change color:

    • 🟩 Green — the letter is correct and in the right position

    • 🟨 Yellow — the letter is in the word, but in the wrong position

    • Grey — the letter is not in the word at all

    4. You have 6 tries to find the secret word.

    5. Letters on the on-screen keyboard will change color too, helping you keep track of which letters are correct, present, or absent.

    6. The game ends when you either guess the word or run out of attempts.

  • This word is mostly used by Gen Z and Gen Alpha… many of whom don’t know that the term originated in queer ballroom culture.

  • It is also a common object people own.

  • Often used with an -ed ending and/or followed by “it”

  • Ballroom and drag culture: The term was popularized in queer and ballroom culture, where "to clock someone" means to notice them and can refer to recognizing a transgender person. It can also be part of a “read,” a sharp, witty observation.

Broader slang: The term has evolved from these specific contexts to be used more generally.

Current usage: Today, "clocked" can mean:

    • To notice or identify something: "I didn't clock it at first, but she was clearly upset".

    • To call out something funny or accurate: As in, “Clock it!” or “Clock that tea!” when someone points out a funny or juicy piece of gossip.

    • To recognize a transgender person: While this is the term's origin, its broader usage can sometimes be seen as inappropriate or cringe-worthy depending on the context.
