  • Quamp is 21+.

  • Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Queer, Intersex, Asexual, and other queer identities that aren’t specifically listed. If that’s you — hiiiiiii!

We also love other umbrella terms like:

    • QUILTBAG – Queer/Questioning, Undecided, Intersex, Lesbian, Trans, Bi, Asexual, Gay

    • GSRM – Gender, Sexual, and Romantic Minorities

  • If you identify with LGBTQIA+, QUILTBAG, or GSRM, then yes. There’s no gay litmus test here. You belong here if you feel you do.

Not everyone will get every reference or preference. Our goal is to have so many different vibes that there is enough for anyone to have a good time. It’s impossible and unnecessary to vibe with every single quamp shenanigan.

Nobody is checking credentials; if you show up, that’s enough. ✨

  • There is a signup board on-site. On check-in day everyone can sign up for their top 3 electives. Then throughout the week you can sign up for more.

All classes happen twice and fit 8-18 people depending on the elective. There is an opportunity to vote for one extra class.

Excursions and wellness hut services must be cancelled with at least 24 hours notice.

Outdoor spaces can be used from 8am - 11pm.

  • Yes! You can…

    • Apply for our residency program via our residency page.

    • Apply to sell your art or creations in the Quamp shop (we’ll take a small percentage) by contacting us.

  • If you apply and are accepted, yes. Minus the credit card processing fees.

  • Great question! Mostly no, just a little bit yes! Our inaugural Quamp sessions will be hosted at two Châteaux in Southern France operated by Camp Château.

Quamp Château and Camp Château are siblings under the same parent company, united in our mission to create inclusive spaces through camp experiences.

    • Camp Château creates inclusive spaces for women.

    • Quamp Château creates inclusive spaces for the global LGBTQIA+ community.

Since it’s our early days, we use Camp Château’s booking platform and payment processors, so some confirmation emails may have their branding.

🛏️ Accommodation

  • All bunks are randomized at check-in! If you come with friends or a partner, you’ll be in different rooms — absence makes the heart grow fonder (and keeps the vibe communal).

Bunkrooms vary from size from 5-8 twin beds.

Explore each location’s accommodation and facilities on the Where & When page.

  • Yes! We love love! But since bunks are randomized, you likely won’t be in the same room. Quamp is about community; lovebirds will reunite at meals, pools, and electives. 💕

    • Each bunk has a shared bathroom (with shower and/or tub).

    • Single-stall bathrooms on each floor.

    • All bathrooms and showers are gender-neutral.

In the surrounding region, bathrooms are often gendered — that’s France! But inside Quamp, all spaces are for people of any and all genders or lack of.
If that setup doesn’t feel right for you, that’s totally okay — we might not be your quamp, and we support you finding one that is.

    • Hot water & electricity

    • Wi-Fi in the common area

    • Private on-site parking

    • Private showers & baths, all fresh linens & towels

    • Ironing supplies

    • Hairdryers

    • USB & USB-C Charging Stations

    • Extra fans

    • European outlets accessible

    • Under-bed storage

🩵 Safety & Respect

  • We work hard to make this space as safe and wonderful as we can. Reality check: no space is perfectly safe, but we’re trying really hard.

    Security specifics:

    • Gates locked nightly at 11pm.

    • One Quamp guardian per bunkroom for support.

    • The area isn’t notably liberal, but our queer team has lived and worked locally for years with little to no conflict. The Châteaux are respected by neighbors and locals.

    • Free quamp bus from Toulouse so you don’t have to take public transport.

    • All bathrooms at Quamp are non-gendered with privacy curtains.

  • We’re not here to cancel you, and we strongly encourage you not to cancel each other. Queer spaces can feel judgmental, but not here. Quamp is for people who’ve been queer for 50 years or 5 minutes — and forgiveness is hot.

  • Respect isn’t optional. We do not tolerate intentional or unintentional behavior that is violent, harmful, or offensive in nature, including but not limited to:
ableism, ageism, antisemitism, aphobia (including acephobia and arophobia), biphobia, casteism, classism, colorism, fatphobia (sizeism), fascism, homophobia, interphobia, Islamophobia, queerphobia, racism, sanism (mental health stigma), sexism, transphobia, xenophobia, or other intersectional forms of discrimination. If you display these behaviors, you may be asked to leave.

We acknowledge that no one is free from bias and mistakes happen. Conflicts are handled by trained staff members with care, quickly and fairly — we aim for restoration, not punishment.

For more details on specific awareness education and strategies, check our blog starting November 2025.

  • We’ll co-create community norms for conversation — how to preface sensitive topics and take care of one another.
In general, we recommend avoiding trauma bonding so you can truly rest. Try connecting over shared joys instead of shared pain.

  • Maybe! Some folks come to Quamp to talk about queer identity; others are here to vibe by the pool. Check in with yourself and feel free to go to the spaces with the vibes best for you.

  • Privacy at Quamp is super important. Always ask for consent before taking or sharing photos/videos — even privately.

People only know if you have come to Quamp if you tell them. We never publish names or photos without explicit written consent.

Absolutely no photos (including selfies) at the nude swimming area.

🧠 Accessibility & Wellness

  • We’re working hard to make Quamp as accessible as possible!

    • Ground-floor bedrooms available.

    • Ramps and accessible bathrooms in most common spaces.

    • Quiet/sensory-friendly zones with soft lighting and low noise.

    • Staff are awareness-trained and first-aid certified.

Please contact us in advance with accessibility needs — mobility, neurodivergence, medical devices, or anything else.

  • Yes! We can refrigerate or safely store medications, insulin, and EpiPens.

  • We have first-aid trained staff, access to hospitals (15–40 mins away), local pharmacies, and an online doctor app for prescriptions.

  • Yes! We serve delicious non-alcoholic options at every meal. If you need sobriety-specific support, let us know how we can help.

  • Yes! Period products (pads, tampons, and more) are available in all shared bathrooms.

  • Absolutely. Nametag & pronoun station on-site. Staff uphold pronouns respectfully — effort, grace, and kindness are the rule.

  • We can accommodate vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, halal, kosher-style, and most allergies — just let us know at least 3 weeks in advance so our kitchen can plan accordingly.

We also have a snack station available for those who need pick-me-ups throughout the day!

💦 Pools, Play, & Fun

  • Yes — in designated spaces only!

    Béduer:

    • Nude Pool: no clothes allowed 🫢

    • Main Pool: clothed, except for one clothing optional night (European style)

    • Silent Pool: always clothing optional

    Camon:

    • One pool and one tanning area that have nude times, clothes-optional times, and clothed times.

  • Those things can be fun, but they aren’t really a Quamp vibe.

Quamp is a drug-free, sex-free space. Especially since all spaces are shared, we kindly ask that intimate encounters take place in nearby hotels or private off-site accommodations if desired. We also have a wonderful relationship with the locals, so please keep the historic hiking paths for hiking and the religious pilgrimages only.

🚀 Getting to Quamp

  • There’s no time like the present! But…for real.

Flights tend to go up and up in price. More often than not, the sooner you book, the better. In most cases, the best time to purchase international flights to France in summer is at least 3-6 months in advance. If you are a bargain hunter, try creating price alerts and set a goal to book within a few weeks or a month.
